Website care

Your website should keep doing its job after launch.

A website is easier to rely on when someone knows how to update it, check it, and help when your business changes.

The purpose of care

Keep information useful and the site in good shape.

Care is scoped to your actual site, your team, and the changes you expect—not a mystery line item.

01

Keep details current

Services, photos, team details, and contact information can change as your business grows. A care plan can cover agreed content updates.

02

Keep the site dependable

Maintenance and checks should help catch broken pages, expired integrations, or other problems before they linger.

03

Know who to ask

A support arrangement gives you a clear path for requesting changes and understanding what is included.

Know what you are paying for

Clear scope makes support more useful.

Before an ongoing arrangement starts, you should know which updates are included, how to request work, what happens when a request falls outside scope, and who controls the domain and hosting account.

Responsibilities to settle

Know who handles each moving part.

A care plan is useful when the owner and provider can both see what happens after launch.

01 / CONTENT

Business changes

Decide who sends new service details, photos, hours, and team information; who approves the wording; and how often updates can be requested.

02 / TECHNICAL

Checks and recovery

Define who monitors forms and links, applies platform updates when needed, keeps backups where appropriate, and responds if a page fails.

03 / ACCESS

Hosting and domain

Record who owns the domain, who pays for hosting, where credentials live, and what access or export you receive if the arrangement ends.

A useful proposal

Ask what the fee covers before you commit.

A monthly fee could cover many different things. Ask for the update allowance, response expectations, hosting charges, third-party subscriptions, backup duties, and out-of-scope rate in writing. Occasional changes may be better handled as separate estimates; frequent changes may justify a recurring plan.

Search engine optimization, content campaigns, paid advertising, and business-profile management should be separately named if they are included. Website care alone should not be presented as a promise of more traffic.

Frequently asked

Website care questions.

Is website care required?

That depends on the project and hosting setup. We will explain any ongoing requirements and choices in writing before you decide.

What if I only need an occasional update?

Tell us what needs changing. We can discuss a one-time estimate or an ongoing arrangement, depending on the work.

Are hosting and the domain included?

Hosting, domain ownership, and access should be defined in the proposal. We do not assume the same arrangement works for every business.

Does care include security and backups?

That depends on the platform and agreed scope. Ask who applies updates, watches for failures, manages backups, and restores the site if something breaks.

How is website care priced?

The fee should reflect the actual site, update frequency, support expectations, and hosting responsibilities. We discuss a written scope and price before any recurring service begins.
